Message from National Director

Our membership numbers are growing! Thank you to all of you for letting others know about our organization. We are continuing to receive applications for new membership daily. This is exciting news because we currently do not advertise outside of word-of-mouth methods. For this, we are very appreciative of all our members' efforts to recruit new members.

This has been a rather slow moving year for NAFP. We have a lot of projects on the table with few results so far. We have recently obtained a consultant to assist in the development of some Internet based applications. These will allow you to have an interactive account with our site and provide you with necessary resources to excel in EMS. We are hoping to bring each of you a secured account where you can track your CEU's, post online resumes, track certifications and renewal dates, communicate with other members, and so much more.

We appreciate your patience as this has been a learning process for us.

Lastly, we are currently restructuring our leadership organization. We will be converting to a Regional Directorship style. We will have seven regional directors under the national director. At this time, we do not have enough membership numbers in certain States to warrant a State Director position. This organizational structure will allow us to manage our resources more effectively while increasing membership in our low number States. As we continue to grow, state directors will be re-incorporated into our structure as the need arises.

- Forums section to share ideas, ask questions, and challenge each other to think outside the box

- Education section on where, how, and when to find educational opportunities. Also, to take the guesswork out of Training Officer credentialing and meeting regulations to obtain or renew teaching certificates. This section will also someday feature online CEU opportunities.

- Resource section to help you find needed material and equipment to meet your job and career development demands

- Classifieds section to sell, trade, or donate items or services related to EMS
